John Escobar

John Escobar is a producer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist and educator.

Born to a Colombian father and Mexican-American mother, he grew up in a multicultural environment across multiple continents, spending his childhood in several countries in South America, and his adolescent years in East Africa. Having the opportunity to experience life from this angle, he gained a deep appreciation for the music and sounds of the world since early on. John is well known for his versatility, which he attributes to no small degree to this culturally diverse upbringing.

Over the last few years, John has had a chance to spend some time in the academic setting, having taught at several of the most prestigious academic institutions in North America, such as Berklee College Of Music, Boston University, University of Southern California, Northeastern University, and Harvard, where he enjoys sharing his real-world knowledge with upcoming talent in the music industry.
